Pretty Floral Shaker Card Kit Tutorial

You will need:

  • Pretty Floral Shaker Card Kit sheet from CraftsUPrint, designed by Ammie Sanders
  • Photo paper
  • Glitter, sequins, seed beeds, etc.
  • Sheet of clear acetate
  • Square card (white)
  • Gold border peel-offs (optional)
  • Rhinestone gem embellishments (optional)
  • 3D foam tape
  • 3D foam pads
  • Double sided tape
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Print the sheet onto an A4 sheet of glossy photo paper
  2. Cut out all of the elements on the sheet
  3. Cut out the inside of the tartan frame
  4. Cut your acetate to the same size as the tartan frame, and stick to the back of the frame (the non-printed side)
  5. Add 3D foam tape all the way around the back of the frame, making sure there are NO GAPS! This is important, otherwise your shaker contents will fall out!
  6. Take the square with the flowers on and add a small pile of  glitter, sequins and seed beads to the middle
  7. Stick the tartan frame to the square with the flowers on. You have now finished your shaker topper! Go on… give it a shake!
  8. Using double sided tape, stick the shaker topper to a square white card (6×6 inches)
  9. Add gold border peel-off stickers to the outside of the white card
  10. Stick on the butterfly and bow embellishments using 3D foam pads
  11. (optional) Add rhinestone sticker embellishments to the top of the tartan frame for a bit of extra sparkle!

New CraftsUPrint Sheets Added – Penny Slider Border Sheets

I was looking through some of my old sheets that I’ve designed, and realised I hadn’t designed any Penny Slider Border Sheets for a long time, so I thought… I’d better do some!

To make this style of slider, cut out the four white sections, the slider toppers & the A5 card front then assemble your four penny sliders as usual. Stick card front to a strong card to finish. You will have four separate sliders to frame the main image – stunning!

New CraftsUPrint Sheets Added – Card in a Card

My new concept of Card in a Card kits are finally uploaded to CraftsUPrint, and I am pleased with how popular they seem to be at the moment.

Thank you to everyone who has purchased one of these kits!

“Card in a card” designs feature a small card inside a larger one. The small card can be seen through the front of the large card as there is an aperture window. Your greetings to the recipient go inside the small card. The great thing about “card in a cards” is that there is no white space anywhere on the card ? everything is patterned, even the back!

“Card in a cards” are very simple to make. Each kit costs just £2.00. Full instructions are included in the kit.
