Red Riding Hood

red-riding-hood

I wanted to share this card with you, which I made using my craftsuprint sheet “Red Riding Hood Zigzag Stacker” which is item number cup218628_172.

I loved the vivid colours on this sheet, and wanted to play about with coordinating card to try and create something a bit different. I started with a dark red A5 card (its a lot brighter in “real life”, the photo doesn’t show it very well). I used the wavy edge blade on my paper trimmer to cut some satin-effect black card which I stuck to the bottom of the base card. I repeated this with a strip of red card, but was careful not to put any double sided tape near the wavy edge so that I could “tuck” the zigzag stacker inside. As you can see, I cut out the zigzag stacker base and stuck it to the card so that the bottom is hidden by the wave edge of the red strip of card. I like this effect as it looks like the zigzag stacker is emerging from the card! I cut out the 3D layers for the top of the stacker, and assembled using 3D foam pads. All I did to finish the card was stick on one of the sentiments from the craftsuprint sheet using 3D foam pads. I really like how this card turned out, although I don’t actually know anyone I could give it to! One for the “cards for charity” pile I think!!

Chocolate Teddy Bear

chocolate-teddy

This is a card I have made using my sheet “Chocolate Teddy A5 Card with Oval Pyramid” which is item number cup218703_172 on craftsuprint.

I printed the sheet at 95% of its full size so that I could put it on an A5 card and have a border of the backing card showing. I printed onto glossy photo paper as I love the shiny effect that it gives. I cut out the card front and stuck it to an A5 textured brown card. Since my foam pads are quite thick, I decided to just use two of the oval pyramid layers. To finish, I added bronze peel-off borders to the edge of the card front, and stuck some large bronze gemstones to each of the corners, and small bronze gemstones to the circles on the mug of hot chocolate. This card would be suitable for lots of different occasions, and for lots of different people!

Red Roses Card

red-roses

This is a card that I have made using one of my card making sheets which is called “Red Roses A5 Card with Oval Pyramid” and it is item number cup218694_172 on craftsuprint.

I printed the sheet at 95% onto glossy photo paper. I cut out the card front using a craft knife and metal ruler to ensure the edges were straight, and stuck this to the middle of an A5 metallic silver card. Since my foam pads are quite thick, I only used two of the oval pyramid layers, but this still gives a really nice 3D effect. And that’s it! I don’t think the card needs anything else because of the rich red colours on the card front and the striking effect of the shiny silver card base. This card would be best suited for anniversaries or Valentine’s Day, although it could perhaps be used as a birthday card for a female recipient.

Free Sunflower Pyramid

sunflower-preview

The June monthly challenge over at Circle of Crafters is to make a card with the theme of “Summer”. I thought, what’s more summery than a beautiful yellow sunflower? The pyramid sheet is available for you to download for free.

If you like it, please leave me a comment to tell me so! I’d love to hear from you xx

To make the card in the photograph, I printed the pyramid sheet onto glossy photo paper. I used a 6×6 sheet of stripy scrapbook paper and stuck it to a 6×6 pale yelllow card. I added the first layer of the pyramid to the centre of the card and then made up the pyramid. Since my foam pads are quite thick, I decided to just use layers 1, 3 and 5. To finish, I simple added some silver border peel-off stickers to the outside of the first layer of the pyramid, and then stuck four silver gemstones in each of the corners. This card would work well for lots of different occasions, hence why I decided not to add a sentiment to the front.

Zigzag Stackers on CUP TV

zigzag-stacker

Welcome to my THIRD cup TV episode that has been released this month! It will be the last one for a while, as I only filmed three, and we have had to give the camera back to it’s rightful owner (we were only borrowing it) so I can’t do any more until we borrow the camera again.

This probably won’t be a while as I’m moving house in a couple of weeks, so things are going to be a bit hectic. The next CUP TV I do will probably be from my new house! How exciting!!

In this CUP TV I make one of my zigzag stackers. Zigzag stackers are very simple to make. Just cut out all of the layers and assemble with 3D foam pads, using the sample image on the sheet as an example.

I chose a design called “Vintage Cars Zigzag Stacker” which is item number cup193935_172. I made the stacker into an over-the-edge card, and finished it off with some gold peel-offs and a Happy Father’s Day sentiment.

I’ve added sheets suitable for lots of different occasions, for example birthdays, Valentine’s Day and St Patrick’s Day, as well as lots that would be suitable for ANY occasion, for example four cute little mouse themed sheets.

More Triangle Stackers

Firstly, I’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has left a comment on my blog lately, particularly on the Free Chocolate Decoupage that I posted last week.

I’m so pleased that so many of you like the sheet! If you have any suggestions on what my next free decoupage sheet should be, leave me a comment and let me know!

The main reason for this post is to let you know that I have added lots more triangle stackers to craftsuprint.

Here is a small selection of the new triangle stackers. As usual, click the picture to view the specific sheet on craftsuprint, or view all of my new craftsuprint sheets.

Lovebirds Triangle StackerPirate Ship Triangle Stacker

The first triangle stacker is of two lovebirds, one of which is sitting in a tree. It would make a lovely Valentine’s Day or anniversary card due to all of the hearts included on the design.

The second triangle stacker is of a silhouette of a pirate ship, sailing the seven seas. This would make a lovely card for a boy or a man, and could be used for many different occasions.

Glamorous Ladies Triangle StackerBirthday in Blue Triangle Stacker

The third triangle stacker is of three glamorous ladies with a fancy pink background of bevelled flowers. This is a very feminine sheet that you could use for any lady or girl, for almost any occasion.

Finally, the fourt triangle stacker shows a blue birthday cake next to a blue birthday present, with a blue background. Lots of blue! Perfect for male cards. This sheet is also available in pink, cup208390_172.
