Free Halloween Decoupage

halloween-preview

It’s October already, and you know what that means? That’s right – Halloween! This month’s free decoupage sheet is of a spooky ensemble of characters with a pumpkin background.

To make the card in the photo, I first printed out the decoupage onto glossy photo paper. I cut out the decoupage layers and made up the topper using 3D foam pads. I stuck this to the top of a orange mottled-effect A5 card. To finish, I added some silver peel-offs and gemstones.

Free Graduation Decoupage

graduation-preview

August and September are graduation time for universities across the country, so this month’s free decoupage sheet contains two seperate toppers – a girl and a boy dressed for graduation in their robes, holding their degrees.

To make the card in the photo, I cut some holes into a DL pearlised card using a craft knife and threaded some red ribbon through the holes, securing with sticky tape on the inside of the card. I cut a DL sized piece of matching card and stuck it to the inside of the card to hide the tape. I decoupaged the male topper and stuck it to the bottom left of the card. I used gold border peel-offs to hide the cuts with the craft knife and finished with more gold peel-offs.

Free Sheep Decoupage

sheep-preview

For July, I decided that a “Summer” type image was a must, so I chose this adorable little sheep, stood on a hillside, chewing on some grass.

To make the card, I printed out the decoupage sheet onto glossy photo paper, cut out the elements and assembled using 3D foam pads. My base card is an A5 bright green card. I used my paper trimmer to cut a wavy edge on some paler green card, and stuck this to the right hand side of the base card. I added my decoupage topper to the left of the card and a green peel-off border sticker to the right. Finally, I added one of the sentiments from the sheet on top of the peel-off using 3D foam pads.

Get Well Soon Decoupage Card

nurse

Here is a card that I made a while back for a friend who was unwell. I used one of my own craftsuprint decoupage sheets for this card, which is called “Amy is… a Nurse Decoupage Sheet” and is item number cup15295_172.

I started by cutting an A4 sheet of yellow card down to A5, which I then folded to make an A6 card. I used my rounded corner punch to round off all of the edges. I then cut a smaller rectangle of white hammered card, rounded the edges and stuck to my yellow card. I repeated this step twice more, with a yellow piece of card and another white one. I like this matting and layering effect as it gives interest to a card and makes it look a lot more interesting than just having a plain coloured background.

Next, I printed off the decoupage sheet, cut out the layers and assembled using 3D foam pads. I stuck the topper to the middle of the card using double sided tape. To finish, I added a simple “Get Well” peel-off sticker to the bottom right of the card.

Vintage Lady in Cream

elegant-lady

Here is a card that I have made using one of my recent craftuprint sheets, which is called “Vintage Lady in Cream A5 Card with Decoupage” and is item number cup218736_172.

I printed the sheet at 95% of its full size onto glossy photo paper, which gives a lovely professional shine. I cut out the card front and used double sided tape to stick it to the middle of a metallic gold A5 card. I stuck on the decoupage layers using 3D foam pads, which really enhances the card as it gives it a lot of depth. To finish, I edged the card front with gold peel-off stickers and added gold gemstones to each of the four corners of the card front. A really easy-to-make card that looks stunning, and is perfect for lots of different occasions, and for women of any age.

Baby Girl with Teddy

baby-girl

Here is a card that I made using “Baby Girl with Teddy A5 Card & Decoupage” which is one of my designs on craftsuprint (cup218716_172). It is available to buy for only 80p! There is a matching “Baby Boy with Teddy A5 Card & Decoupage” available too.

I printed the sheet at 95% of its full size and cut out the card front. I stuck this to the middle of a pale pink A5 card and then cut out the decoupage layers. I layered these on to the card front using foam pads. To finish, I edged the card front with silver peel-off stickers and then put a silver gemstone in each of the corners.

Free Frog Decoupage

frog-preview

For June, I decided to go with a fun image for the free decoupage sheet, as well as something quite Summery to fit with the wonderful weather we have been having lately.

If you head over the the CraftsUPrint forums, you will find a thread started by the wonderfully generous Diane Scotland called “Let’s make cards for charity“. I highly recommend that you read this, especially if you like to make cards for charity.

Every month, Diane holds a competition where you send her a card on a specific theme, and then at the end of the month one is chosen as the winner and the person who made it wins a CraftsUPrint voucher. Then, Diane sends all of the cards to a chosen charity, which changes every month. The charity then sell the cards to raise funds.

This month, the charity chosen is MacMillan Cancer Research, who are celebrating their 100th year this year! The theme is green cards (as that is their charity colour) with GLITTER to celebreate the centinary.

I will be used this card as my entry. There is certainly lots of green, and I have used glitter to highlight the frog’s eyes and mouth.

Free Chocolate Decoupage

chocolate-preview

The May monthly challenge over at Circle of Crafters is to make a card with your favourite food on it. Well, mine just HAD to be chocolate! I made my own decoupage sheet for this card, and decided to share it with you all, for free!

Apologies for the rubbish photograph, it’s really grey outside, so the light isn’t good enough for a decent piccie. I’ll take another one when it’s sunny, if I remember!

Flaming Car Card

It’s my brothers birthday soon, so I faced the daunting task of making him a card that he might actually keep on his shelf for more than day. The problem is, the card will arrive with him after his birthday (apparently I can’t rely on the post to his university hall of residence). Only a day after, true, but he is one of those people that would take the Christmas decorations down on Boxing Day… if he had put them up in the first place!

I decided to go with a striking, colourful design that would really stand out, so that hopefully it has a better change of being kept up! I used my craftsuprint design called “Car On Fire Lightning A5 Quick Card” which is cup167349_172.

Car on Fire Lightning A5 Quick Card

I printed the design at 95% of its full size and then stuck it to an A5 black base card. I added silver peel-off stickers to three edges, and an angled piece of black card with a wave edge to the bottom. Not going to lie here, the reason for the peel offs and black wavy card is because I stuck the car image on REALLY wonky! Luckily, I can get away with it because of the extra decorations!

To finish, I added the car decoupage element using 3D foam pads, added one of the sentiments from the sheet, and stuck on some blue gemstone embelishments.

Hopefully he will like it!
