Free Lily Stitching Pattern

lily-card

June’s free card stitching pattern is a remaster of an old pattern, in fact one of the first card stitching patterns that I ever made!

It is of a white cala lily, and would be perfect for sympathy cards. Nobody likes making sympathy cards, but this pattern will help you create something that is stylish and sentimental.

This pattern would suit any level of stitcher, as it is fairly simple to follow. It is best when stitched onto a dark coloured cardstock, due to the white of the lily leaves. As you can see, I chose to stitch mine on black, and then emphasised the white by using a white 5×5 inch backing card, white peel off stickers and a corner punch to show more white in the bottom two corners. I also rounded off the corners of the black card to soften the edges, and also the two corners of the white card on the right hand side.

New Card Stitching Patterns

I realised the other day that I haven’t made any card stitching patterns since last year! That’s over six months ago! Time has really flown this year, I can’t believe it is mid-June already.

I took a look at the stitching patterns on craftsuprint, and there have hardly been any new designs uploaded in the past couple of months. Right, I thought, time to change that, so I made a collection of abstract circular borders. The patterns are very simple to stitch, but will look stunning because of their geometric designs and all of the swirls.
